Tips for a happy future
The project I created during the "Future for Ukraine" residency.
The Future for Ukraine is a cultural initiative supporting Ukrainian illustrators as they create art during wartime. Organized by the LUSTR festival in collaboration with Pictoric, this initiative provided a platform for artists to contribute toward creative development, networking, and sharing perspectives on cultural restoration.
My project "Tips for a Happy Future" is a reflection of the fact that for a happy future, one should be ready for everything.
Even a couple of weeks before the full-scale invasion, I still believed nothing bad could happen to me. But it did. And many other things can happen, too. Now I realize that it could have been way easier for me to go through the first year of the war with a prepared psychological attitude. In my project, I have collected from my generation several tips for the next one, such as 'Be ready to fight' and 'Be ready to be betrayed'. The tips are not so optimistic and neither am I.
